Picking Fruit In September

The kids and I have been picking fruit the past couple weeks from a couple of our local orchards. The boys have enjoyed hunting for peaches, pears, apples and raspberries. They are both nuts about eating fresh fruit and this is as fresh as it gets! Delicious.

Liam's First Day of Preschool

Today was Liam's first day of preschool! He was very excited to be wearing his new backpack and went in his classroom and got straight down to playing. It's a little bittersweet...My baby is growing up. I am so proud of him!

Happy first day of school to all the kids this year! Teachers, thank you for all you do for our children. May it be your best year yet!

Happy 3rd Birthday To My Liam!

Happy Birthday, Liam! On August 7th, my little heartthrob, Liam, turned 3 years old. I am just so proud of him. He is the silliest three year old I know and he's unbelievably intelligent, gentle and sweet.  

I enjoy watching him grow and learn new things each day. He's always wanting to snuggle up for a story. He loves books, music & dancing, trucks, cars & tractors, and for his birthday, he received a John Deere rider mower toy. He keeps his toy leaf blower and weed whacker in the mower's trailer, ready for work. He and his brother, Christian, pretend to have a lawn care business. My husband and I (along with our families) crack up watching them pretend to maintain the lawn in a professional fashion. 

Perhaps someday you will start your own lawn care business, Liam. Whatever you decide to do, we will be there to support you all the way! Liam starts preschool (for two mornings each week) this fall. He will be one of the youngest in his class. I am so excited and nervous at the same time, but happy that he will be enjoying himself in school.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Liam!

Aloha! Liam turned two on August 7th. We threw a little family party for him a couple days before with a Hawaiian luau theme. Here are some shots from the party!

I decided to make a pig roast cake for my son's birthday, you know, to fit the theme of his party. I wasn't able to fit the apple in it's mouth but it turned out cute anyway!

Christian & Liam

I have been so behind in my blogging! Here are some shots taken when Christian was 11 weeks old with Liam, shortly before he turned 2. There's no doubt that these brothers love each other already. :) 

 The boys have 3 different sets of "Little Bro" and "Big Bro" shirts...all were fantastic gifts from family & friends. We love them! They all happen to be different sizes, so every time Christian moves out of a size, we've got another one they can wear together!

Summer days...

Liam enjoyed a fun evening with his uncle's bright orange body board on the beach. Summer days at the beach are great memories. Thanks, Uncle Brett!
