Welcome Newborn J!

This sweet little newborn reminded me so much of my own little guy as a newborn. "J" was happiest in his mommy or daddy's arms - anywhere else, even if comfortable, would be uncivilized. I shot most of his portraits in his parents' arms and here are a few peaks into his session. Just look how precious that little face is! Thank you J & A for having me in your home during this special time. Congratulations on a beautiful first child!

Happy 1st Birthday, Madison!

There is no wrong way to eat your birthday cupcake. Our birthday girl, Madison, demonstrates this on her very first one. Happy 1st birthday, Madi! She is just darling! Her mommy made her homemade carrot cake and cream cheese frosting cupcakes and placed them in the shape of an "M" on the table. Those who know me well, know that I have an obsession with cupcake design and I just had to photograph it. We had such a wonderful time celebrating Madison's birthday - thanks S!

Happy Birthday Stella!

A year has gone by since my friend's beautiful baby, Stella, was born. Our firsts were born 6 weeks apart (Liam was after) and what fun it has been to compare notes, have play dates and watch our babies grow up way too fast together.

Here's Miss Stella-bella at her party, carefully picking the icing off and then gracefully using her spoon to feed herself her birthday cake. She has quite the manners for a one-year old! Happy birthday, Stella and congrats, Signe & Eric on completing your first year of parenthood! Looking forward to sharing year 2 of memories with the kids.

It's Good To Be One !

I recently did a photo session with this handsome little guy and his mommy and daddy to get 1-year-old milestone portraits. He is such a cutie! It was an absolutely gorgeous day for following little "A" around the park. He was full of smiles and loved digging in the wood chips on the playground. Thank you, J, for hiring me to capture your little man at such a special age. It's hard to believe that it wasn't much more than a year ago that we were dancing in a pregnancy class together. Who knew we'd meet up again for this! Your family is beautiful.

Could this handsome love bug get any more stinkin' cute?! My side of the family might argue perhaps if Liam was sporting a Yankees hat instead of his dad's favorite Boston team. ;-)  Ha...


Liam is a few days short of turning 11 months now. We have a unique family birthday party planned for him that you won't want to miss photos from when the occasion arrives (his birthday is August 7th)...so stayed tuned...

Siblings!

I love these kids! They are just beautiful and they were so much fun to photograph. They have such polite and sweet manners to match their adorableness! We shot in a field of wildflowers just across from my house and E, K, & R discovered what we thought were possibly butterfly eggs and spittlebug nests in the field. The girls caught me up on their end of the school year projects and what they were planning for the summer. Thank you so much A & S.  I have been meaning to post these sooner, but here they are. (These 3 shots were displayed as newer shots in my tent at the Branford Festival this year!)
